Leonor's baptism

  • Jul. 13th, 2009 at 2:40 AM

I really want to post some photos that I took with my cellphone because the day was awesome! I had so much fun. Well, we should be in the church at 1pm but we were late and so was the priest, so it was ok. We arrived at the restaurant at 2:45 pm. The restaurant was great, first we were all in the garden drinking (whatever we wanted). Then we went inside to eat appetizers (there were so many that I was full before the actual meal, it's always like that when I eat in that kind of restaurants XD). There was this guy that were always asking us (me and my cousins) if we wanted to drink or eat something else when actually we already had food and drinks with us. But the waiters were really nice and funny.

At 3.45pm we went to another place of the restaurant to have lunch. This was the menu:

Well, there were too many things to eat when I was already full. There were 2 kinds of soup, 2 dishes of fish and two dishes of meat. I could only eat chicken soup and one of the meat's dishes. My brother's girlfriend wanted me to eat more but I really couldn't. I forgot to say that we were on round tables and I was with my cousin Raquel, my cousin Filipa, my brother and his girlfriend and my cousin Tiago and his girlfriend.

My cousin Tiago and my brother:

My cousin Filipa:

My brother and his girlfriend (her name is Daniela and my brother's name is Bruno):

Tiago's girlfriend (her name is Elisete):

My cousin Raquel:

And me:

After this, we ate some deserts and went to the garden to take pictures with my baby cousin:

(her parents)                                                                             (her godparents)

(my cousin Fabio and his wife and kid)                      (my uncle Zé, aunt Fátima, cousin Raquel and cousin Tiago)

(my cousin and his girlfriend)                                                      (my brother and his girlfriend)

(my cousin Filipa,  aunt Arminda and uncle Leonel)              (my cousin Célio and my grandparents)

And I didn't took more photos at this time because then I got tired and there was a photographer there and my cousin also took pictures so I still have to wait for those. There are really great pictures, like all the cousins and my grandparents, one with all the cousins, one with me and the baby and so much more.

After this we danced, sang (there was karaoke. It was really fun but I don't know if I'll post the videos), and took more pictures.

(karaoke)                                                                                (my six years old cousin dancing in the floor)

                                                                     (dancing)

(Raquel and half of my face)

(me)

(my brother)

(me and my brother's girlfriend)

(me again)

(my 3 years old cousin)                                                       (Filipa and Raquel)

At 8pm, we ate the baptism's cake, we sang Happy Birthday to my little cousin and ate more deserts and drank more Coca-Cola and champagne (we did a lot of toasts) and a lot of more pictures that I dying to see. I only took a few with my cellphone, I was already starting to getting tired. XD Ah, and when we were eating, we were watching at the same time Daniela Mercury's concert.

(my brother and Daniela)

(me and my mum)

(me and my dad)

And my little cousin, Leonor:

(Now I really want to post 2 or 3 videos of my cousins singing and 1 video of my little cousin.)

It was another great day with my family that I'll never forget! ^^

Introduction - Part 3 - Rio Mau

  • Jul. 11th, 2009 at 8:55 PM

Well, I actually in a small village with 1500 people. It's where my parents, brother, and almost all of my family were born and where they grew up. Before I was born mt parents moved to another place and when I was 11 years old, they returned here and since then I've been living in here. A place called Rio Mau (literally translating to english, you could say Bad River. XD)

Although it's a small village, don't think that it's a boring place to live. We have a football team, a theater club, a canoeing club, a church choir, a musical ensemble, restaurants, a lot of coffeehouses, public pool, and other things to entertain you.

It's funny that I can't see my house in the pictures. It's hard to find good pictures or pictures of all the village. But it's ok. I'll post a picture from my house another time.

Yesterday, an accident happened here. A car with a man inside fell on the river. People don't know if it was really an accident or if it was a suicide. But a few hours later, another person tried to kill herself but I don't know how. I only know that I and my brother's girlfriend were going to the choir's rehearsal and we had to left the car a little far from the church because there was an ambulance in the road and then some people told us what was going on and we were really surprised. Two bad things in one day. =/

But I don't want to talk about sad things, so I going to end this post by saying that tomorrow it's the baptism of my beautiful little cousin with blue eyes called Leonor. She's only 9 months old and she's really cute. She already loves cellphones and loves to look at herself in the mirror. She's my youngest cousin but not for long, because I'll have another cousin in August. =D Yes, I have a big family and this cousins are already children of other cousins, because I have 30 cousins (children of my uncles/aunts) and most of them are already married and with ch
ildren (without counting my 30 cousins and their husbands/wives, I have more 17 cousins. Lol. And I don't count my dad's and mum's cousins). People don't have a lot of children nowadays but when my parents were little it was normal to have 7,8,9 children. So my dad has 2 brothers and 4 sisters and my mother has 4 brothers and 3 sisters. And I love to have so many uncles/aunts and cousins because when we gather together it's always fun! =D

My city is Porto, in the north of Portugal. The 2nd biggest city of my country.

Introduction - Part 1 - My Country

  • Jun. 19th, 2009 at 3:12 AM

I don't have anything like a bog or something where I talk about myself and I don't have anything in my life that I think that it's interesting (although a lot of my friends say that they could make a movie about my life XD) but I have this account and I thought that I should use it. So I'm going to post some pictures that represent something about me. And I must say that although I'm a person that really likes to talk, when it comes to write this kind of stuff, I don't really know what to say.

So this is my country! Portugal! It's an European country, next to Spain.

It's a small country, unknown by a lot of people but I like living here! ^^
